Connecting to the Goizueta Business Library's E-Resources
Need help troubleshooting a connection to an E-Resource from off campus? Read our How Do I... on this topic.
Connection Types
Emory Network ID and Password
Some resources now require the use of your Emory network id and password. This is the login and password combination you would use to access
OPUS or Blackboard. This login and password combination may not be the same as your GBSNET login and password, however. Read more about Emory network id's here.
If you do not know your Emory network id and password, call the AAIT (formerly ITD) helpdesk at 404-727-7777. If you know your Emory network id but are not sure about the password, AAIT can reset it for you.
You may also want to use this tool to synchronize your Emory network and GBSNET passwords so that you only have to remember one network password.
With Password
If you are connecting to a Goizueta Business Library Electronic
resource that requires a password, you can find that password in
First Class. Select the Library Information conference and look
in the Password folder.
Emory/Goizueta Online
The Emory OnLine (EOL) software package was created and designed
by staff in the Information Technology Division for the faculty,
staff, and students of Emory University. Emory faculty, staff, and
students may pick up a CD and documentation at the Computing Center
at Cox Hall or the Emory Bookstore. The software is also available
electronically on AAIT's (formerly known as Emory ITD) Software Server . Connecting to the internet
via EOL allows students to access databases that are restricted to
Emory University IP numbers. To download Emory OnLine, go to:

VPN
A Virtual Private Network (VPN) allows you to use the ISP (Internet
Service Provider) of your choice to remotely connect to Emory
and use services normally restricted to on-campus use. You essentially
have a virtual connection that looks like an Emory node over the
public Internet. Privacy is maintained by encrypting transmissions
and security procedures. Your ISP must support Virtual Private
Networks. For more information on how to configure your VPN, visit
this site: http://it.emory.edu/showdoc.cfm?docid=5646&fr=1153

Only
The Goizueta Business Library subscribes to several resources
that are in-house use only. Please ask a business librarian for
help in locating or accessing these resources.
Specialized Training Required
The Goizueta Business Library subscribes to a variety of databases
that require hands-on training with a business librarian
before passwords are given out. Please contact a business librarian
to schedule specialized training sessions.
Registration Required
Several databases require individual registration from an on-campus
workstation -- for example, Global Access requires students to register
an individual username and password. Once registered, remote access
