Downloading Excel Add-In

For Excel 2007, start with step 1; for older versions of Excel, jump to Step 2.

Step 1. Open Excel

  • Click "Office Button"(upper left corner)
  • Click "Excel Options"
  • Click "Trust Center"
  • Click "Trust Center Settings"
  • Click "Macro Settings"
  • Check box for: Trust Access to the VBA Project Object Model
  • Click "OK"
  • Close Excel

Step 2. Open Thomson ONE Banker

  • Click "Tools" (upper right corner)
  • Click "Download" for Thomson ONE Banker (T1B) for Office
  • Click "Run"
  • Walk through the Setup Wizard; accept all the assumptions
  • Click "Finish"
  • Excel will open and the Thomson ONE Banker icon will appear on the toolbar; wait a few seconds and Excel will close
  • Click "Finish"

Logging-In to Thomson via Excel

  • Open Excel
  • Click Thomson ONE Banker link on Tool Bar
  • Click "T1B Office"
  • Select "Connections" tab in pop-up window
  • Input Username and Password (located in the Library Information/Passwords folder on First Class)
  • Click "Test Connections" button; look for prompt verifying you are connected
  • Click "OK"
  • You are now ready to begin drawing Thomson data into Excel

Use of this database is restricted to current Goizueta Business School faculty, students and staff for academic, career and personal research and may not be used for internships or employers.

Use This Database To: Locate and analyze U.S. and international public company financial information, including historical and current financial statements, stock prices, estimated earnings, deals, ibanking company/industry reports (formerly Investext) and more. An Excel Add-In feature allows for leveraging pre-formatted templates and a large range of individual data elements to quickly create download data, create models, and analyze companies, portfolios and markets. DO NOT USE FIREFOX BROWSER WHEM USING THOMSON.
