- Companies must have revenue of at least $50K, be in business for 5 years and headquartered in US or Canada.

- Annual program that recognizes Canada’s fastest growing technology companies, both public and private, from all technology sectors including software, life sciences, Internet/e-commerce, communications/networking, semiconductors and computer peripherals

Forbes - 25 Fastest Growing Tech Companies 2006
- Compiled February, 2006
- Company must have at least 10% sales gain in each of the last 5 years, $25M in sales and a positive net income over the last 12 months.
- Industries include defense, computer security, biotech and others.
Forbes - Technology's Top 100 Dealmakers
- The Midas List, compiled in January 2006, identifies individuals who deploy venture capital to create wealth for their investors and build long-lasting companies.
- The ranking formula ignores the original amount invested in a deal, instead weighing most heavily the market capitalization of a venture-backed company at the close of its first day of trading.
- Ranking also depends on a candidate's length of involvement and depth of influence at a startup. Only tech and life sciences companies that have gone public or been acquired within the past five years are considered.

- Companies are ranked by revenue, profit, market cap and 12-month return.
- To qualify for the list, a company had to be headquartered in
the Bay Area and its stock had to be traded on a major exchange
between March 31, 2005, and March 31, 2006.
