What do consultants do?
Consultants provide analysis and recommend ways to improve a company's structure, efficiency and/or profits. A consultant must be able to do three things: discern the cause of a problem, define it and come up with a workable solution to solve it.
Why do companies employ external consultants?
- They provide skills or knowledge that a business may lack
- They have the ability to offer an independent view of the problem
and original thinking on the issues
