Creating Company Prospect Lists
Creating customized lists of prospective companies is challenging since supply chain/logistics/operations/purchasing is more a function than a discreet industry. With few exceptions, you will not find SIC/NAICS codes that identify these specific functions.
Following are some recommendations for databases you can search, but you will need to be creative and persistent in order to deliver the best results
NAICS and SIC Codes Browse/Search
SIC Codes
- 20-39 = Manufacturing
- 40-49 = Transportation
- 50-51 = Wholesale Trade
- 52-59 = Retail
NAICS
- Manufacturing = 31-33
- Wholesale = 42
- Retail = 44-45
- Transportation = 48-49
- 541614 = Process, Physical Distribution, and Logistics Consulting Services
