Identifying companies by industry is important for both course work and job seeking.
- Identify the industry of interest
- Select the companies within an industry by criteria which may
include:
- Geographical area
- SIC, NAICS
or other industry coding system
- Company size: employees, sales, other performance measures
NOTE: Number of employees is often a more reliable figure than sales, especially in countries experiencing inflation.
- Public, governmental or private enterprises

- Click on Industry, select industry of choice from the list
- Then select location
- Not a comprehensive list for international companies

- Search for companies by four digit SIC or six digit GIC.
- Select by industry sector; strong on service and financial companies.
