- An international, not-for profit, vendor neutral, educational, trade association.
- RFIDba is focused on serving the needs of End Users who have a need for educational programs that will help them in achieving a successful implentation of RFID technolgies in their business.
- Lists national and international events and conferences
AIM - Association for Automatic Identification
- Global trade association for the Automatic Identification and Data Capture industry.
- Members are manufacturers or service providers of technologies such as RFID, bar code, card technologies (magnetic stripe, smart card, contactless card, optical card), biometrics, and electronic article surveillance (EAS).
- Provides technology information, standards, news, case studies and free newsletter
- Clear definition of the technology

PRIVACY ISSUE ORGANIZATIONS
C.A.S.P.I.A.N - Consumers Against Supermarket Privacy Invasion & Numbering
- National grass-roots consumer group dedicated to fighting supermarket "loyalty" or frequent shopper cards. CASPIAN's efforts are directed at educating consumers, condemning marketing strategies that invade shoppers' privacy, and encouraging privacy-conscious shopping habits.
- The group is against wide spread use of RFID technology. The site contains articles and information on boycotts of various businesses deploying RFID technology.
Electronic Privacy Information Center
- A public interest research center in Washington, D.C. that focuses public attention on emerging civil liberties issues and privacy protection, the First Amendment, and constitutional values.
- Monitors news on the use of RFID technology from the standpoint of privacy guidelines, security flaws and consumer protection.
- Explanation of RFID technology, applications and what consumers can do to protect their privacy.
American Civil Liberties Union
- The Privacy and Technology division monitors developments and gives testimony about surveillance-enabling technologies and the legal ramifications concerning privacy protection.
