Sports is classified under Amusement and Recreational Services in the U.S. SIC code system using the following codes:
- 9741 for professional sports clubs, promoters, and agents
- 7991 for physical fitness
- 7997 for membership sports and recreation clubs
The newer NAICS system uses groups in 7112 - 7114
