Sports Business Data

Rodney Forts's site has an extensive collection of data on the business aspects of sports including: players' salaries, ticket prices, TV revenues and Fan Cost Index for baseball, football, basketball, and hockey. Fort, a professor of economics at Washington State University, compiles the data from a number of different sources.

Baseball player and team statistics, including a list on individual player salaries by year, in zipped format; some data from 1871 - ; also includes history and salaries. Free but donations requested.
