Services -- Recommended Business Links
The Goizueta Business Librarians have created the following list of recommended business resources you might consider when conducting business research. Its objective is to direct you to some of the best collections of links to business content on the Internet, with a balance of free and for-pay web sites. Keep in mind that while there is a great deal of free business information on the web, access to critical information that is also reliable and timely often requires paying a fee.
How can you most effectively leverage tapping into external business sources? We recommend the following strategies:
- Start with an electronic business database; if you live in Georgia, call your local public library to learn about remote access to GALILEO, a collection of business databases, including ABI/Inform and Business Source Premier; you can also access Galileo from any of the Public Access terminals in Emory's Woodruff Library. If you live in another state, contact your local public library and ask if they subscribe to a consortium of databases for remote access by residents
- Tap into other local public, academic, and state libraries. Many subscribe to business electronic and print resources that are licensed for use by the public. To find a library near you, visit http://sunsite.berkeley.edu/libweb
- Use the links below to direct you to reputable web-based sources
- Take advantage of the sites with this symbol

These contain excellent guides to help you develop effective strategies for targeting different areas of business research, such as company, industry, or market research - If you still need some information, the New York Public Library's Express service offers fee-based document delivery and research services. Why can't you use the electronic databases available
at Emory?
The databases offered by the Goizueta Business Library are
covered by license agreements that restrict their use to current
students, faculty and staff.
